Deployment completion

Data summary

Before the deployment is started, a summary page is presented to the user. On this page it is possible to see all the selected data that should be deployed.

It is possible to copy some or all values in the summary list. Select the desired fields in the list and use the right click menu to copy the values. The standard CTRL + C shortcut can also be used.

The summary shows information about the status of each data node. The summary is shown below.

The information status columns can contain the following statuses

Status

Description

Creation

Match was not made, and the setting will be created in the target system

Update

Match was made, and the setting will be updated in the target system

Target delete, creation

The setting will be deleted in the target system and then created

Required

The setting is required by another item to be deployed

Has security settings

Applies to information groups. Indicates that the setting has attached security settings.

Error messages

When validation fails in one or more of the wizard steps, the errors generated, are shown in the summary. An error column is shown in the list, it contains an error icon for each setting that has a validation error. If the mouse hoovers over the icon, the error message is shown. See example below.

 

The mouse over hint shows all the error messages on a given item. All validation errors will be found and shown at once. The error hint is shown below.

 

Deployment progress

When the Perfion Deployment runs, its progress is reported to the user with a progress bar. It tells the user which step is currently being worked on.

The Perfion Deployment works relatively fast. In most cases, it should complete its deployment in well under 1 minute.

When the deployment process has finished, the completion wizard page is automatically shown to the user.

Completion summary

When the deployment has finished, a summary page will be shown to the user. A short text is shown, and a summary of all the transferred data.

The columns “Source system ID” and “Target system ID” shows ID references of all the transferred items.
