Target system selection
Perfion Deployment need a target system to transfer data to. This system can be selected on the Target system selection page.
Selection
The selection itself is like the connection selection for the Perfion Client.
Fields
SQL Server: Specify the database server which hold the Perfion database
Authentication: Specify what user to authenticate with
Database: Specify, from the select list, a valid Perfion database
The “Next” button will become available as soon a database is selected.
Database requirements
The selected database needs to be a valid Perfion Database. These rules are applied:
Is the selected database a Perfion database?
Is the selected database the same version as the current Perfion client?
Is the selected database different from the source system database?
Does the selected database have Deployment license?
Source and target database comparison
The selected target system is validated against the source system. The identification is made by comparing the System identity key found in the database. If these matches, the databases are treated as identical.
The system identity will be equal if the system is the exact same database, or if the target database is a copy of the source database.
If it is the case with a production – test database, where the test is a copy of the production, the system identity must be changed in the test system.
User login
If a valid Perfion database was selected, a user login window is shown. It is required to enter a valid user for the target Perfion system. This user needs to be an administrator!
If a non-administrator user is entered, the following error message is shown.
