Deployment options
The user is presented with some options for the Perfion Deployment. These options define how the deployment operates.
Deployment areas
The user can select which areas should be deployed. This has no practical use but is here for convenience to skip some steps in the deployment wizard if the areas are not relevant.
Â
If an area becomes relevant but is not selected, it will be presented to the user anyway. This can happen if the user selects only Feature configurations for deployment. Then selects a feature configuration that requires X features to be deployed as well. Then the Features wizard step will also be shown.
Match language
Match languages are relevant when the deployment tried to match the data between the source and target database. The language selection list contains all the active languages that the source and target deployment system have in common.
Â
Requirements
Selecting at least one language is required.
If no languages are in common between the systems, an error message will be shown, and the deployment cannot continue.
Matching rules
The selected language is used when deployment is matching data that has localizable values and does not have a unique identifier. (E.g. information groups).
The matching of each data type will be described in detail in each relevant chapter of this user guide.
Important to note is, that the selected languages are used for matching only. If a match is found, all localizable data will be transferred to the target system.
