Office AddIn Installation
The Perfion Office AddIn is a licensed module that allows Microsoft Office users to access Perfion data inside Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. With the AddIn, Perfion data can easily be copied from Perfion to Microsoft Office documents.

Installing and configuring the Perfion Office AddIn
Requirements
To use the Perfion Office AddIn, the following requirements must be fulfilled on the client PC:
Microsoft Office:
Supported versions: 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019, Office 365 (local applications only)
Both 32 or 64 bit versions supported
Microsoft .Net Framework 4.8
A running Perfion API web service that can reach and return data from a Perfion installation.
Installation
Download the installation package from the Perfion support site and run the installation. You must have elevated privileges to do so. No attention is needed for installing the Perfion Office AddIn, but it is recommended to close your MS Office applications and save your work during the installation.
Configuring the Perfion Office AddIn
When installation is finished you can launch Microsoft Office. If you for instance launch MS Word, you will see a new element in the ribbon menu:

By Pressing the “Toggle Perfion” button you can choose to show the Perfion content pane or not.
Adding the API web service
To setup Perfion Office AddIn all you need is to let it know the address of your Perfion API web service and optionally a username and password. This information needs to be entered into the configuration of the AddIn. First press the dropdown button and then the ellipsis button to edit the connection details. You can enter a name for the connection, to more easily distinguish between multiple connections. You then enter the url for the Perfion API, e.g. https://my-perfion-api.perfioncloud.com/Perfion/GetData.asmx and optionally input your username and password to authenticate to the API. You can click the test button to verify that the connection is configured correctly.
When you have configured the connection, click OK to close the Edit Connection dialog.
At the remaining fields you select the languages and the feature within which you want to search for data e.g. Product.
Troubleshooting
Perfion Office AddIn not shown
If you do not see the Perfion menu in the MS Office ribbon menu, you may have to enable it manually. To verify that the add-in is installed and enabled, go to File → Options → Add-Ins
If the add-in is listed as inactive, to to the Manage → COM Add-ins dialog and click the checkbox to enable.
If the Perfion Office AddIn is not listed in either Active- og Inactive Application Add-ins, the installation is corrupt and you will have to re-install the add-in again.
