Perfion Database Installer - Version 4.7

The Perfion Database Installer is needed to install a new database or upgrade an existing Perfion database to latest release.

Important information before upgrading

Upgrading from Perfion 4.6 or olderIf you are upgrading from Perfion 4.6 or older to Perfion 4.7 2020-R1, the new version introduces changes to the database structure. As a result, the database installer must be run before client applications are updated, and all client applications must be updated simultaneously. Perfion strongly advises storing a database backup before the upgrade takes place.

Since the database change involves conversion of time stamps to UTC and a generation of checksums for all images in the database, the process may take a while depending on your data amounts and hardware.

Perfion API And Perfion ERP Add-in for Dynamics NAV must be updated as well (if in use). And if you have built custom integrations using the Perfion DLL’s, these must be recompiled with the new DLL’s.

Please note that this version of Perfion requires .Net Framework 4.8 to be installed. If using the .EXE installer, you will be prompted automatically for the .Net installation.
Since the DevExpress components were upgraded, the report designer could have smaller changes to the output results.

Upgrading from Perfion 4.7 to a newer build
If you are upgrading between one Perfion 4.7 version and another (eg. From 4.7.0 to 4.7.1), you only have to upgrade Perfion clients. You do not need to upgrade all clients at the same time.
